1:00 pm – 1:45 pm & 1:45 pm – 2:30 pm
Offering two, 45-minute sessions for up to 10 people per sessions, ages 10+. This was one of our most popular events last year, and was invited to join us again for 2017 TEDucation. Put on a pair of 3-D glasses and come experience what it is like to virtually step into data and test scientific theories in the Center for Advanced Energy Studies’ fully immersive Computer Assisted Virtual Environment (CAVE). You’ll see how virtual environments are used to delve into the core of a nuclear reactor, plot a new transmission route over terrain, track earthquakes worldwide, assess environmental impacts on underground caves or agricultural fields, look inside the human body, and more. (Please note that the Bus Simulator is not available this year). Located at 995 University Blvd, Idaho Falls, ID 83401.

Cook a Culinary Masterpiece
Chef Bryan Hewett, owner and Chef of The Cellar will be offering an exclusive look into creating a couple of his signature dishes! Participants will don their own aprons and learn the basics of chopping (as needed) all the way to completing a Boeuf Bourguignonne dinner. We will learn to turn mushrooms, tourne potatoes and more! We will feast and enjoy! Come ready to work and have a great time! (if you have your own knives and cutting boards that is great!)
This experience will go from 1 pm to 2:30 at the Cellar and is available to the first 14 people. Cost is $25.
