On August 21, 2017, Idaho Falls experienced the moon completely eclipsing the sun. In those few moments, things we thought we knew were overshadowed by a powerful, shared experience the likes of which many will have but once — maybe twice — in a lifetime. In a moment of darkness, perspectives change, clarity occurs, and things we thought we understood are understood differently, born of experience rather than mere idea. In recognition of the power of that paradigm-shifting moment, TEDxIdahoFalls chose the theme “Totality” for our 2018 event.
Just as in years past, we expect the evening to be thought-provocative, interesting, and entertaining, but what really makes it resonate is you, the audience. Help us make this our largest event yet by promoting it to others who are just as passionate as you are about idea sharing. Mark your calendars for March 10, 2018 – it will be an you won’t want to miss!
We are also seeking sponsors for our 2018 event. Learn more at the link below.
What is TEDx?
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxIdahoFalls, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxIdahoFalls event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
